Move your body, feel the rhythm, and celebrate with us at Axé Fest: Celebrating 20 Years!
On this day of our 5-day festival, we are offering the DC community free introductory classes featuring Capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian martial art, and Samba dance, with live music and drumming. Classes are open to kids and adults!
6-6:45pm - Intro to Capoeira for kids and adults
6:45-7:15 - Capoeira demo and roda
7:15-8pm - Intro to Samba dance
Intro to Capoeira classes are for people new to capoeira. No experience is needed! Wear comfortable clothes and bring water.
