About the event
Move your body, feel the rhythm, and celebrate at Axé Fest, our community day of FREE classes featuring the Afro-Brazilian martial art of Capoeira, Yoga, and Afro-Brazilian Samba Dance and Drumming. Classes are open to kids and adults!
1pm - We'll kick off with a fun KIDS CAPOEIRA class (ages 4-12). Parents need to be present during the class.
2pm - We'll get our bodies warm with YOGA for all with D Yoga Dude
3pm - We'll get into flow with INTRO TO CAPOEIRA class for teens and adults with Mestre Morcego. We'll then put what we learned into action with a Capoeira Roda and Demo.
5pm - We'll top off the day with AFRO-BRAZILIAN DANCE to live drumming
* Intro to Capoeira classes are for people new to capoeira. No experience is needed! Wear comfortable clothes.
